What is the Volunteer Friendship Program?

Volunteer Friendship is an accredited mentoring program of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Miami.  The program provides compassionate, friendly and non-judgmental guidance to any adult living with HIV or AIDS in Broward County.  Our program has been in continuous operation since 1993.  As mentors to those who suffer with the virus that causes AIDS, we strive to stimulate lifelong dreams by engaging time and talent to create lasting change.

No one should ever be left feeling helpless...

Our clients come from all walks of life. Each is encouraged to set goals to improve social inter-action, increase friendships and strengthen coping skills.

Our Care Team volunteers work to address motivation for recovery by reinforcing healthy living patterns, medication adherence and improved socialization.

Most importantly, we all come together as a team impacted by the lives we touch and the lasting friendships we make.  We are friends, companions and helpmates to our neighbors in Broward County living with HIV.

What can we do to help you?
